Flamingo Nights Vol. One: Ibiza sees Fedde le Grand, Funkerman, and their respective guises - F-Man and F.L.G. lay down their musical manifesto, capturing the sounds and energy that have already made Flamingo Nights one of the most hotly anticipated parties in the world, and celebrating the launch of the event’s summer residency at Pacha Ibiza.
Cassius, Dany P-Jazz, Kraak en Smaak, Sharam Jey are just some of the names that feature the Funkerman and Fedde le Grand mix; leaving Hardwell, Jordy Lishious, R.O.N.N. & Thice Santoro, and Spektrum to furnish the 60 minute session by F.L.G. and the F-Man.

As with anything that’s released on Flamingo Recordings, a high element of fun is essential and so with this next release from F.L.G. and the F-Man, the fun is laid on super thick!
Both Fedde Le Grand and Funkerman have proved their worth as alter egos F.L.G. and the F-Man. The latter with Batsen and Abstrack#1, and F.L.G. scoring the hat trick that was Amplifier, F1 and Pink Bird.
Now as summer begins to make it’s mark on 2009, the pair team up for what is undoubtedly a very good track indeed. The Joker is hypnotic, devilish, groovy and downright catchy. Riddled with laughter (the sample has been used from Josh Winks ‘Don’t Laugh’) that runs through two thirds of the length of this tech-house monster, and haunting as it may be, the infectious vocal loop works absolute wonders and will remind you of many a debauched night.
As always the production standards are solid gold - precision crafted with punchy kicks and spitting hats to boot. This is a sure fire track to make the shoulders move, the hips shake and most importantly of all make you grind on any dance-floor, festival field or wherever you care to listen.
The Joker is released on Flamingo Recordings the 27 of April.

Already being touted by Flamingo Recordings as a major player for ‘summer tune of 2009’, the classic Bob Marley track whose lifespan seems endless has been reworked by numerous aficionados since 1971, well now it’s the turn of Funkerman who delivers the goods two fold!
Funkerman’s take on things is sharp, groovy and impeccably sexy, and has all the hallmarks of a Balearic soundtrack! An ample smattering of vocal relief combined with piano sounds and a hypnotic hook and you’ve pretty much got a record that represents house music at its finest.
Released this April, it’s sure to garner a plethora of airings at this year’s Miami Winter Music Conference so there is plenty of time to get down with the groove before we dive into the summer months.
