ADE’s Saturday is traditionally (well, since 2004, that is) reserved for ADE Next, the subprogram of ADE that is specifically aiming at young talent. A welter of workshops, master classes and demo sessions offer plenty of opportunity to learn about the trade. Young hopefuls are able to rub shoulders with industry veterans and pick up a useful hint or two.
DJ veteran Sven Väth will be interviewed extensively about his 30-year career and he’s available to answer questions from ADE Next visitors, and the Goldfish guys will tell you all about what they are up to as well. Flamingo Records head honcho Funkerman and label mate Raf explain some of their studio secrets in the Interface Magazine Room, the place to be for all things related to gear and studio work.
Demo recordings will be commented on by professionals in Demopitch and the Demolition panel, hosted by Dave Clarke. The DJ To DJ panel (that includes Steve Rachmad, among others) will focus on the foundation of success: a quality dj-set.
And in ‘The In Bed With’ sessions DJ Pierre will initiate the rebirth of acid.
